My Saunas are sited at Bank Ground Farm, East of the lake, Coniston LA21 8AA.
La’al Sauna was the FIRST wood fired, Nordic inspired sauna in the Lake District founded in January 2023. Hand built by myself from converted horse boxes. With beautiful HUUM stoves and hand crafted interior, it’s the perfect space for you to relax, reconnect with nature and benefit from the healing properties of heat and ‘Löyly’ or steam.
There is direct access to Coniston Water, with jetties and a swim ladder. So, you can combine cold dips in the Lake during your Sauna session – with a stunning view across the water to Coniston Old Man.

My Saunas, lovingly created and named YAN and TAN. Have L-shaped seating on two levels providing stunning views across Coniston Water to Coniston Old Man. With locally sourced sheep wool insulation and kiln-dried logs providing insulation and heat, you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the health benefits my little saunas bring to all their visitors.

While the temperatures today were typical of January, the Sauna was unbelievably toasty and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed dipping in the lake and warming back up again with the help of the steaming stones.
